THE DEVIL WITH OUT HIS BLUE DRESS ON, SIZE 10 STERLING

It seems that, try as hard as they may, conventional scientists are never going to be able to uncover some of history's mysteries.  Such is the case with the Codex Gigas, a.k.a. the Devil's Bible.  Relax, it's not evil and really has nothing to do with the Devil at all.  It got its nickname due to an epic, full-page, animation of the Devil that is contained within.  It's actually kind of funny, if you ask me.  It's not scary at all.

The book, which took 160 animal skins to complete and takes two people to lift was completed in just one day?  How, you ask?  Well, there was this 13th Century monk, whose name nobody knows.  He was under punishment, sentenced to be walled up alive for breaking his oath.  He pleaded with his fellow monks, asking them to give him one last chance, telling them that in one night's time he would write a book that contained all human knowledge.

Longing to see if he could actually do it, the monks agreed to give him the chance.  By sun up the book was complete.  The monks were astonished.  Little known to the monks, the book was created when the aforementioned monk sold his soul to the Devil.  Still, they were astonished with what he had accomplished.  However, they still had their rights to wrong.  They ended up walling that poor guy up anyhow, which is pretty messed up considering he just got done selling his soul to the Devil, thinking that he was going to get to live a full life.  Sounds like an episode of the 1950s Twilight Zone if you ask me.   

Either way, the Devil's Bible contains a MASSIVE account of human history.  It contains a Latin translation of the Bible, works by Hippocrates, works by Cosmas of Prague, and a whole ton of other writings including medical formulae (alchemy), texts on exorcisms, and as I have told you a very large depiction of the Devil himself.

The book is kept in a museum in Prague, unavailable to the public.  Hmmm, there's a thought.  The people who rule the world don't want the population to have any type of knowledge whatsoever, so they block them out.  Surprising?  Not really.  The powers that prey are constantly trying to keep us in the dark, which is why we made this piece.  This piece isn't one that uncovers the mysteries of the 12 pages that were torn out of the book, that nobody seems to know anything about.  We have a piece that brings that magic, if that is what you are looking for.  

The roots to this piece are much deeper.  This piece goes right to the horse's mouth for the knowledge that is contained in the books and a very old horse is he.  Little known to anybody, we went on our own investigation some years back to the spot where the book was created.  It took a lot of investigating and was very frustrating, but we were tireless in our expedition.  We eventually found the place out, traveling there to undergo a proper investigation. 

During out investigation, we were able to find the resting place of the monk who wrote the book.  By the way, his name is Grigorio.  When we found his rotting corpse and we were successful in casting a spell that brought him back to life.  Only, instead of existing in human flesh, we have resurrected him in spirit form.  He is bound to this piece and must show himself to anybody who uses it.  

When used, this piece summons Grigorio and all of the knowledge that was given to him when he completed the book.  His knowledge spans lifetimes and includes the knowledge of ancient Egypt, the Grecian Mystery School, ancient Atlantis, ancient Oriental magic, Norse magic, Druid magic, the magic of the Celpius Monks, ancient Anglo-Saxon magic, Cabala Magic, gypsy magic, Native American magic, Mayan Magic, etc.  His knowledge literally embodies every single culture of magic that you could possibly think of.
