In the Bayous of Louisiana and Mississippi, there grows a plant called la fleur vaudou, which is French for the Voodoo Flower. It's not so much of a flower as it is a plant. The untrained eye wouldn't be able to detect it, but to people who are "fluent" in voodoo magic, they pick it out like a sore thumb. This is because the plant holds a spiritual essence and this is the spiritual essence o Marie Laveau. She first planted the plant in the south prior to her death so her pupils could use it to summon her for help with their voodoo magic and spells. This ring holds the energies of the la fleur vaudou.
