This bottle contains the spell of a very powerful sorcerer who called himself Petronius.  He was alive from the year 27 AD until the year 66AD, when he supposedly committed suicide at the young age of twenty-seven after being accused of treason by the chief commander of the Roman army. Petronius gained national attention after he began using the wisdom that he attained using his spells and witchcraft to become a satirical writer.  His writing was so very popular that he became known empire-wide during the reign of Nero as writing scripts to put on plays for the royalty. He became so favored by Nero, the emperor of the time, that he was given political office and assimilated into the upper crust society.
Unfortunately, this made the commander of the Roman army jealous, at which point he was accused Petronius of treason.  Petronius was jailed and instead of awaiting trial, Petronius took his own life-- or so they say.  In fact, nobody really knows what happened to Petronius.  They say they found him dead in his jail cell, when in actuality there's no evidence of the find.  This points to the obvious conclusion, that Petronius must have transformed himself into a different type of creature and/or being and set off into seclusion for fear of being executed by the commander and his men.
This brings me to my next point.  Aside from his satirical writings, writings popped up years later that bore the penmanship of Petronius and has been under scrutiny ever since.  However, these later writings were kept kind of silent due to the so called "disturbing" finds.  It is said that these books are a sort of Grimoire that was written to cater to Petronius and his own magic.
When I first saw to the book during a trip to to Marseilles, the place that Petronius claims birthright to, I developed my own opinion as to the happening of Petronius.  Judging by his form of magic, one would be led to assume that he used Lyncanthropic magic to change into a different being, then escape from prison.  He kept his form permanently, as to not be caught by the empire-- for years a least.  I'm not entirely sure of the current whereabouts of Petronius.  I don't know what form he takes, either.  I've been many places but have not had the fortune of meeting this guy who calls himself Petronius.  However, I have experienced his magic.  It is very powerful and very effective.
This bottle contains an original Lycanthropic spell that Petronius jotted down in his Grimoire some time before he completed his final transformation.  By the way, this Grimoire is still kept among the elite circles in Marseilles for fear of the power that is contained within slipping into the hands of the wrong people.  Talk about terrorism?  Spiritual terrorism would take things to a whole new level!  Either way, I was able to make it away with this one spell.
Now, this item is that old.  I mean it's old, but obviously not as old as 66 AD when Petronis "took his life".  The bottle contains a lycanthropic alchemy spell.  It will not cause transformation, rather this piece is for full blood revenge.  The saying goes an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.  That's the whole premise behind this item.  It is a power that Petronis cast upon the roman empire and it single-handedly began the downfall of the Roman Empire.  You don't have to take my word for it, read the history books.
The reason that this piece is consider a Lycanthropic power is because to activate the piece, you must first fill it will a few drops of animal blood.  It doesn't really matter what kind of animal blood you use... you can use anything; but it's the alchemy in the blood that activates the powers.  when you are done letting the animal blood into the tiny flask, you can fill it the rest of the way with a scented oil.  Meditate with the piece, envisioning the target of your revenge.  The powers in this piece will have become fully activated at this time and will leave your mind, being sent directly to the person that you are meditating upon/envisioning.  It will activate immediate karma upon the person who has wronged you, bringing about the worst type of demise.  Don't think this piece will wreck enough havoc?  Just remember, it began the process that brought the Roman empire to it's knees.  Yes, it's that powerful.
